The SNAP results were released a long time ago and so were the college shortlists. You must have spent the last few weeks preparing for the next round of the admission cycle, the GE-PIWAT. This will be the final juncture before you make it to your dream college and build a successful MBA career. It is precisely the reason why you have been frantically searching for any and every tip, that you can find to crack this round. Well, don’t you worry! SIIB brings you some important tips that you should keep in mind for the GE-PIWAT process. So, here we go!

Confidence
It is the key to success. So, wake up in the morning with a smile, boost yourself up with a walk or exercise. Dress in proper business formal clothing and groom yourself to look presentable. Look in the mirror to see how your composure looks and talk yourself into motivation.

Punctuality
Arrive at the venue 15 minutes before schedule, so you have time to settle and acquaint yourself with the environment. Make sure you are carrying the whole list of documents, as instructed to you by the college. It is advised to carry enough photocopies (3-4) of each document beforehand. This will save you the last-minute hassles or unwanted pressure.

Personality
As graduates or employees and future aspirants for MBA, knowing basic business etiquette and possessing good communication skills is a prerequisite. B-schools look for candidates who are clear about what they want in their career, why they want to pursue an MBA degree, but most importantly, who they are. You need to have comprehensive clarity about your personality, interests, ambitions and what you intend to derive from your two years at the B-school. Keep this trifold mantra in mind, “write neatly, explain concisely and speak assertively.”

Other tips
If you have any questions about the schedule, rounds or issues with your list of documents, please feel free to ask the concerned team at the college. Letting them know of any glitch beforehand is advised, so as to help them solve your problem better. Listen to their instructions attentively, so you don’t miss out on anything important. It is also imperative to keep track of time and take care of your belongings.

We wish you all the best, and hope you come out with flying colours!
