Life takes it stroll in a way that it finds apt. In more simple way, life’s path is a force of nature thus making it an involuntary action. And we, the ‘helpless’ stand, witness and survive (sometimes succumb to) the uncalled tides.
Man is jealous. Period. He wants more and won’t stop at anything. From a five digit salary to seven digit salary, from a hatchback to a sedan, from an IKEA furniture to a solid wood structure, from a studio apartment to a 3-BHK in the most sort after locations in the city, he just wouldn’t stop at anything. Hence, mankind by the larger meaning of the word has always been hardworking and earning good. Sometimes great as well.
But misfortune strikes. The man who thought everything including Mother Nature was his, got a blowback at an hour when he was least expecting the same making him HELPLESS. All the blood that he turned to sweat sees no daylight. All the hard work has seemed to go in vain. From a self-imposed royal stature to the realization that he is no great man is a difficult, hard-to-believe bumpy ride. But sooner or later, man has to accept what the forces of nature have given back for the deeds/misdeeds he has done.
As already stated, man is jealous. Now he turns his face which earlier was his back to nature. But he does not give up that easily either. He now has got a new word in place to justify all his doing – FAITH.
This faith can be anything. From tangible to intangible, from Sun to the rocks, to a possibly looking human figure to animals and the list goes on. These close-to-human and yet not human but with supernatural powers have been named by and large Gods. It’s in them whom we have rested our faith. The faith that gets exponential when man becomes HELPLESS. But little did he or does he knows that the God is nothing but Mother Nature itself and for nothing, does she stop. Nonetheless, he still keeps on praying and hoping (read faith) that things will turn around in his favor. That’s greediness defined in terms of prayer, faith, God and everything else intangible.
When would all this stop and he realize all this? Well, Never. MAN IS GREEDY.
