Before he created The Rocky series, before he became a symbol of success and fame, Sylvester Stallone was a struggling actor who eventually became homeless. All he had was a dog which he sold for 25 dollars. Why? Simply put, he could not feed the four legged canine. It was at this time he got inspired by watching a boxing match starring Muhammed Ali and Chuck Wepner. Inspired by the proceedings he wrote the script for the famous movie Rocky. He spend 20 straight hours writing the script and sold it to the studio on one condition that he become the main protagonist. The rest is history. Guess what he even brought back the dog he sold for a whopping 15,000 dollars. Sylvester Stallone the man who never gave up! Rocky isn’t just a movie about a pugilist seeking redemption and victory, it’s about how you handle failure as well as success in life.
Self-belief, Self-respect and motivation are very crucial for an individual. I believe all of us can agree to the fact that it’s not the guy who is the most talented but the guy who believes he can do his share of duty at hand; will be more content at the end of the day.
Sometimes we fail in life in the field of competition but what one should always keep in mind is that life should be treated as a learning experience. We should focus on dissecting and figuring out our failures rather than celebrating our victories. Instead of being critical about our misgiving we should try to build bridges in our minds.
Such fruitful preparation will equip us and would make us feel confident when we come across the several trysts of destiny.
Its only when we primitive humans beat the darkness inside; then only we can take command of our destiny. For that we should believe in oneself we should dream; believe in what we can or want to achieve it is only when we challenge the fences built inside in our mind by society culture religion race etc. we can move forward.
When determination overcomes faith, honour comes calling!
